Project Overview

The Savory Institute is partnering with UPC Renewables’ and Cultivo to deliver on the shared goals of regenerating Mongolia’s grasslands while fostering increased resilience among producer networks.

Based around the town of Mandalgovi, the capital of the Dundgovi Province on the border of the Gobi Desert, the project seeks to build capacities among local herder communities and technician staff with key stakeholder groups to sustainably manage their pasturelands through Holistic Management, increasing productivity, biodiversity, water and carbon capture and soil nutrient cycling as well as value chain opportunities.
